What is Art
Art can come in many different forms and styles such as visual art, musical art, performing art and physical art.
Visual art is the most well known art form and has been the most recognised art form throughout history. Over time visual art has been categorised into various movements of art such as surrealism, impressionism, expressionism and so forth.
For all visual art pieces there are common underlying elements of art that most artists utilise to create their art works.

The movement of art that will be the focus of your work is Recyled Art with a subfocus of environmental awareness.
Recycled Art is a reletively modern movement that can be defined as an art form that uses old or used items or day to day trash to create something which is brand-new, attractive, and useful in most cases. By doing this, we end up effectively, lessening trash in the first place, while also creating an aesthetic piece. Therefore, Recycled Art can also be referred to as an environment friendly art form, as the waste products are re-used, which helps in keeping our environment clean.

Lastly it is worth bringing your attention to the art of Photorealism. This movement utilises cameras and photographs to gather visual information and then from this creating a painting that appears to be photographic. An example of this movement being utilised is with the artist Eric Zener who is a photorealist oil painter.

You might not have the skills yet to sketch your own art piece then fill it in with a collage style therefor this technique of taking a photo of something you would like to do a collage then printing this photo in black and white, you are then able to begin applying colours through collage.
