Tidy Towns Award
You are a budding young artist who is heavily involved in conservation in your local community. Recently your local council approached you and asked for your assistance to help promote a cleaner community. They have applied for the Tidy Towns award and would like you to create an art piece to inspire the residents to clean up their town.
You need to create an artwork which responds to the issue of litter within your community. You will develop and document the process and this will also be informed by research. You need to investigate how artists have previously responded to this issue in at least three other places or times, and then how you can extend upon and develop the concept. Your research process should involve the creation of a visual diary that includes your own responses and visual explorations.
